Quanto a Benigni è stato un privilegio lavorare con lui. E’ fantastico, più di quanto immaginassi. Come i grandi comici, da Chaplin a Keaton, ha un lato tragico che lo rende interessante e complesso. Roberto è il vero erede dei giullari, sa unire cultura alta e bassa, è intelligente e buffo.
